On The Trail
Mile Detailed Trail Description
From the parking area, walk towards the pond and to the
0.0 right, heading across a field (southeast). You’ll hear
rushing/moving water. This is the pond drainage/spillway.
Head in this direction. Continue to parallel pond.
After 500 ft., cross over metal pond drainage/spillway.
0.1 Beautiful views of the pond’s tall cypress trees, large water
lilies, and tall grass.
Trail turns left and begins heading northeast. Along the
0.2 way, there are several short spur footpaths to the shoreline
that offer excellent vantage points.
0.4 Reach the end of the trail, which offers more great views of
a narrower part of the pond.
0.75 Return the same way you came.
