On The Trail
Mile Detailed Trail Description
0.0 From the parking area, walk towards and around the metal
gate. The wide, sandy path is surrounded by tall pines.
Come to left-right trail junction.
Turning right heads northwest, passing by a couple private
0.1 residences (on your right), and then curves around the
larger of the two Carolina Bays.
Turning left heads south and begins circumnavigating the
larger Carolina Bay.
Both directions navigate around the Carolina Bays, with
0.1 – many short tributary paths. All trails and paths are prone to
1.5 overgrowth in warmer months, and after heavy rains, the
Bays can flood and may advance to the trails.
