The recently voted “Best Nonprofit” by readers of the Gaston
Gazette enriches our area communities by cultivating abilities and
providing employment opportunities for the differently able, where
higher functioning residents seek and enjoy meaningful work. Visit five
destinations run by Holy Angels crew members (residents) and job
coaches throughout the Montcross area.
There are two types of customers who come, explained Shawn
Flynn, chief communications officer of Holy Angels. “For example, there
are customers on a first-name basis with the crew members and job
coaches who come after church for breakfast,” he said. “And travelers
come in for a place to eat. Then they find out our mission and like it
even more.” Regulars come for the quality of food heaped with a side
benefit of supporting Holy Angels.
