By Rail
Mainline railroads CSX and Norfolk
Southern both serve Jackson County, making
it easy for businesses to ship to and from
Georgia’s deep-sea Port of Savannah, and the
Port of Brunswick.
The planned 104-acre Northeast Georgia
Inland Port in nearby Hall County will
provide a direct link to the Port of Savannah
via Norfolk Southern. By offering direct rail
service to the Garden City Terminal at the
Port of Savannah, the opening of this facility,
anticipated by the end of 2024, will further
strengthen the transportation network of the
Jackson County area.
