Post-graduation, students can attend
many nearby technical colleges and
universities including the University of
North Georgia, Lanier Technical College,
and the University of Georgia in Athens.
Apart from the substantial student
base that the Jackson County area
offers businesses, several state and local
training programs further educate the
labor force, including Quick Start and the
Georgia Work Ready Program.

Large Regional Workforce
With a population more than 75,000,
the Jackson County labor force is roughly
40,000. The regional workforce within
a 45-minute drive from the center of
Jackson County is more than 776,000.
Gainesville is to the north, Athens is
to the south, and Gwinnett County is Lanier Technical College
immediately west and has a population
exceeding 1 million.
