“The approach is more that we are not the only ones doing
this,” said Dean. “Automakers in the U.S. are throwing their
weight into EV, creating a surge in battery demand.” She explains
that EV batteries are more similar to our cell phones than with
traditional vehicles today. Automakers need suppliers to adapt
         to this new technology.
Nationwide, a plan to install 500,000 EV charging
stations by 2030 is underway in the Build Back Better
         infrastructure initiative.
Back here at home, SK Battery America cares beyond
its plants. Dean said, “SK is committed to advancing the
communities where we do business by continually creating
economic and social value. We are learning more about the
needs of the local community so we can better understand how
we may be able to help.”
Jackson County welcomes this innovative company into the
fabric of all we do here in Northeast Georgia – where we play,
         live, work, and unite together.

          SK Climate Challenge

Across its companies, SK has pledged to cut
Building for the Future 200 million tons of carbon emissions by 2030.
          That’s like removing 144 million gas-powered
